The golden Pennsylvania rescue retriever will provide a photo and information of all rescues available upon request.
GRRCP is a small non-profit organization, operated by several volunteers who strive to help purebred dogs in need. All animals adopted from this organization are spayed or neutered, updated on vaccination and tested for infections. Everybody is welcome to make donations or sponsor any dog. This breed is not for everyone and adopted animals need special care. Practically all of them are vulnerable and have some behavioral or health problems due to poor living conditions or lack of training. It may take up to a year to find a dog suitable for your life style.

Some owners give their dogs up because of personal problems. Such dogs are usually in a perfect condition and free from health and behavior defects. They may have a pedigree and health certificates. Dogs of this breed are very intelligent; they are selectively bred to be friendly and reliable. Behavior problems occur in this breed mainly because of irresponsible ownership. Not all owners of these active and intelligent pets know how to train and control them. If the owners cannot devote much time to the dog, it tends to develop bad habits, such as chewing, digging or barking just to amuse itself when left alone.
